Tree Plantation at DBS Silchar

The Lions Club was established to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote integrity. At par with it and to give an equal status to women, the Lioness Club was brought into being. Keeping up to their mission statement of service, the members of the Lioness Club of Silcharin collaboration with Don Bosco School, Silchar organized the Tree Plantation Programme on 30^th October 2019. The programmecreated an awareness among the students to take care of the environment around them, the environment being the life support system of the entire humanity. The project was initiated by Mrs. NandiniPurkayastha, Ms. Uma Kar, Ms. Paromita Paul, Ms. MadhumitaSarkar and Ms. SutapaChoudhury on behalf of the Lioness Club of Silchar. We express our heartfelt gratitude to them for such a noble work.
