BOSCO OLYMPICS 2019 for juniors

Bosco Olympics for juniors was held for 4 days i.e., from 27^thto 30^th November, 2019. All the students from nursery to class four participated in it.

The event commenced with the felicitation of the Chief GuestFr. Paul Olphendro Lynkot , the Provincial, Rev. Fr. John Zosiama, the Vice- Provincial and the Council members of INS. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Nelson Joseph welcomed the guests and the gathering. In his welcome address he laid emphasis on the importance of sports in a student’s life. He also presented a brief report of the sports activities and achievements of the school.Bosco Olympics kicked off with an impressive and spectacular March Past by all the four Houses of the school.The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour lit the Olympics torch, followed by well synchronised drill display and a semi classical dance performance.The Chief Guest presided over the oath taking ceremony and declared the sports meet open.

Thereafter, events of the day started in the old campus as well as in the new campus. The Bosconians participated actively in various events with full sportsmanship.

It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged themselves to attempt to a variety of races such as 100 meters, 200meters races,relay race, chocolate race, spoon race, trithalon race etc. The group events like passing the ball,coin collection, tunnel ball and Kabaddi were also enjoyed by the junior students.

The overall championship was bagged by Rafi house, thesecond runner up was Jimmy house, the third runner up was Kalpana house and the Tagore house had to satisfy itself with fourth position.The teachers tried their luck in musical chair and coin collection which also was a house competition that added a few more points to the overall performance of each house. On the last day all the winners were awarded with medals and certificates by the Vice Principal Rev. Fr.Surjit Tigga and Sister Silu.
