TALENT FIESTA 2019 FOR JUNIORS

The students of classes III and IV participated in Talent Fiesta which was held for three days from 18^th to 20th July 2019.  This is a competition held annually in the school.  It was a class-wise and house wise competition.  The function  started by lighting the lamp by  Vice  Principal  Fr Surjit Tigga followed  by Bible reading by Sr. Silu and the inaugural dance by Harshita Chanda of class IV . Speaking on the occasion the vice principal emphasized on academic excellence as well as to balance it by encouraging the innate talent and aptitude of the students in every possible way which is an essential component for overall development of a child. The main reason behind organizing these competitions is to nurture the intrinsic qualities of students and remove the stage fear among students, which helps in personality development too. The competitions included were of following categories: Solo Dance, Solo Song, Rangoli, drawing, fancy dress, flower making and Craft Making (Best out of waste materials.) The students, dressed in colourful costumes, were full of confidence and enthusiasm prior to their performances.  It was a pleasure to watch our younger ones dressed up as different characters and speaking confidently in fancy dress competition. The students sang songs and enthralled the audience. Many students displayed their talents by dancing on entertaining music and left the audience spellbound. The little artists’ creativity was portrayed through their drawings and imaginations were on floor in form of Rangoli. It was amazing to witness the students making   beautiful colourful flowers with paper cuttings.  All students as well as teachers were in full zest throughout the event. The Judges had brainstorming sessions to come to their judgment. The function ended smoothly with all the students and teachers dancing to the tune of some popular songs. The fest concluded with the felicitation of judges, and National Anthem sung by the students.
