A trip to the City of Joy

“A trip to the City of Joy”
Nothing beats an exciting hands-on experience to deepen learning. The magic of an expedition isn’t just the subject. It’s the break in routine and adventure that opens up children’s minds to new things. Don Bosco School, Silchar organized its first ever international excursion cum educational tour for the students of class XI to Thailand. The team of 29 students along with Rev.Fr.Nelson Joseph, the Principal and 2 teachers, namely, Madam Ratna Ghosh and Mr. Pinak Deb embarked on their journey on the 27th of March, 2019. It was a week-long trip with Kolkata as its first destination.
We reached Kolkata on 27th morning and spent the whole day at the Nicco Amusement Park, enjoying the amusing rides. The next day was a day for sight-seeing. We visited the Victoria Memorial and came to know its extravagant architecture and history, the Indian Museum where we stopped over inestimable topics and finally the Mother’s Wax Museum, beholding various wax statues of legendary icons. It was indeed a memorable time at Kolkata. After a wonderful day of visiting the attractions, it was time for us to fly to Bangkok.
